Sula is the home of modern fine jewelry designed to soothe. We believe jewelry belongs where life happens. Our pieces are made to be lived in, to feel like home, and to be instinctively chosen every day.

Origin of the Name

The name Sula is inspired by the Insular Cortex (Insula), the part of the brain responsible for translating internal sensations into conscious awareness. It’s where instincts and “butterfly feelings” are first felt, before they are understood. Just as the Insula connects us to what we feel, Sula connects us to who we are.

A Note From Iza

Hi, I’m Iza. I am the founder of Sula. It's everything I could have ever dreamed of, and more. It's my baby, my whole heart. Just like your favorite breakup song, it was born from the kind of heartbreak that strips you down and forces you to create something beautiful in its place. 

I didn’t start with the intention of building a brand. At first, I simply wanted to remake the rings that we once shared. Wearing each other’s rings felt instinctive, a natural way of saying I’ve got you. Letting them go wasn’t so easy. I wanted something soothing in their place, something that could gather the love I had given and bring it back inward.

As I sketched the designs, I found myself weaving in pieces of my own history. Memories of people I loved and moments that shaped me naturally found their way. Through the act of creating, I began to see those moments not just as something to hold onto, but as something I could move through and reshape with care.

That’s how eight rings and one necklace became Sula’s first Capsule Collection. The Hawley, Hartford, and Kata rings are inspired by my past love and the connection we once held. The Stevie ring is inspired by my mom’s iconic wedding band, circa 1987. The Moshe carries the name of the jeweler who helped my great-grandfather bring my heirloom ring to life. And the remaining were taken from a list of future baby names I keep close, saved for the life I still dream of building someday. 

Sula is my story, my healing, and my heart, but more than anything, it’s meant to be a place where others can feel seen and held. I hope people gravitate toward Sula because something in their gut says this feels like home. Jewelry speaks in ways words cannot, and my dream is that each Sula piece brings a sense of comfort, peace, and belonging.
